Abiding in Christ: The Source of Fruitful Living

Scripture:
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
—John 15:5 (NIV)

Devotional:
To live a life that bears lasting fruit, we must remain connected to Jesus—the true vine. Just as a branch cannot survive without the vine, we cannot thrive without staying connected to Christ. In Him, we find the strength to live according to God's will, bear the fruit of the Spirit, and make a lasting impact in the world.

Abiding in Christ means staying close to Him through prayer, studying His Word, and walking in obedience. It’s not about striving or working hard to produce results; it’s about staying connected to Jesus and allowing Him to work through us. As we remain in Him, He will naturally produce fruit in our lives.

Application:
Take time today to assess your connection to Jesus. Are you abiding in Him, or have you been trying to do things in your own strength? Commit to spending time with Him each day, knowing that this is the source of true, lasting fruit.

Prayer:
Lord, I want to remain in You today. Help me stay connected to You in everything I do. Let Your life flow through me so that I can bear much fruit for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
