Letting Go and Trusting God

Letting Go and Trusting God

Letting go can be one of the hardest things to do. Sometimes we hold tightly to people, plans, memories, pain, disappointments, or expectations because we are afraid of what will happen if we release them.

But trusting God often requires open hands.

Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

Letting go does not mean you do not care. It means you are choosing to trust God with what you cannot control. It means surrendering the outcome to Him and believing that His plan is greater than your fear.

Some burdens were never meant to be carried forever. Some battles belong in God’s hands. Some doors need to close so that healing can begin. Some people, seasons, and situations must be released so you can walk freely into what God has next.

Trusting God means believing that He sees what you cannot see. He knows what is best for you. He knows how to restore, redirect, protect, and provide.

Today, ask God for the grace to release what is heavy. Your hands cannot receive the new while they are still tightly holding the old.

Reflection:
What do you need to release into God’s hands?

Prayer:
Lord, help me let go of what I cannot control. Teach me to trust You with my heart, my future, and my next season. Amen.
